Oldcastle Utd suffer first defeat of the Season
NECSL Under 16 division 1
Oldcastle United 2 - 3 Parkceltic Summerhill
Oldcastle United lost their 100% record to league leaders Parkceltic Summerhill in Gilson Park, They fell behind after just a minute of the game played when the away side took advantage of a defender slipping and finished well. It stayed this way until the interval but within a few minutes of the second half they doubled their lead when a break down the wing saw Parkceltic's midfielder pull the ball back for a simple finish for the striker. Oldcastle managed to pull a goal back when Aaron Gettys first shot was blocked and he made no mistake from the rebound volleying home. Parkceltic restored their two goal cushion with a thirty yard free kick but the blues made it a nervy ending when Paul Wade headed home a Aaron Getty cross with a couple of minutes left. Park Celtic held on for the three points and are now hot favorites for the title.
